Wales Broadcast Archive
We launched this innovative project to digitise half a million clips from the history of Welsh broadcasting and make them available to the public. Based at The National Library of Wales in Aberystwyth, it’s the first national broadcast archive in the UK and includes an interactive exhibition where the public can watch and listen to clips from Welsh television and radio from across the decades.
Objectives
- Increase public awareness of the Wales Broadcast Archive, the public exhibition, and the 12 ‘Clip Corners’ across Wales.
- Encourage school trips to the Archive, and the Clip Corners.
- Encourage visits by families to the Archive.
- Encourage visits to the National Library of Wales’ other attractions, such as its gallery space.
