1. Winter Trails and Tails in Conwy
As the end of 2024 approaches, we’re wrapping up our winter tourism campaign for Visit Conwy. Since October, we’ve hosted a series of press and influencer trips every week, including The Mirror and Coast magazine, all aimed at showcasing the beauty of Conwy during the winter months. Over the last two weeks, our final two trips have taken place with @walkingwithlauren, a Welsh hiking digital creator and @paws.explore.north, run by dog mum Emma who brought us along on her adventure with fur babies, Merry and Coal. Lauren’s trip was packed with scenic walking routes around Betws-y-Coed and cosy eateries such as The Hidden Chapel, while Emma, Merry and Coal explored the pet-friendly winter activities available such as walkies along Conwy Morfa beach and woof-tastic cafes like Dudley and George’s. Be sure to check out some of their trip content on the @walkingwithlauren and @paws.explore.north Instagram accounts.

Principality Commercial, the commercial arm of Wales’ biggest building society has provided £6m to not-for-profit Bro Myrddin Housing Association to support the development of over 30 energy efficient, affordable homes in Carmarthenshire and Pembrokeshire. This initiative aims to create sustainable neighbourhoods and improve quality of life for residents across the two regions. Bro Myrddin manages over 1,000 homes and offers essential housing-related support, helping people live independently and comfortably. This funding reflects Principality’s commitment to supporting community-focused projects that tackle housing challenges and promote sustainability in Wales. 3.Collaborating on a start-up focused supplement
For the past few weeks we’ve been working with Media Wales Business Editor, Sion Barry, on behalf of our client the British Business Bank, to deliver a start-up themed four page supplement in this Wednesday’s Western Mail, with associated online coverage on business-live. The supplement featured a long list of some of Wales’ most up and coming start-ups, many of who have received British Business Bank funding, as well as an op-ed penned by the Bank’s Senior Investment Manager, Bethan Bannister. Read what Bethan had to say about the Welsh start-up scene and investment landscape here.
4. Inspiring the next generation of teachers in Pembrokeshire
Pembrokeshire Council has this week launched a campaign to inspire students to consider a career in teaching. The initiative aims to showcase the impact educators have on their communities and highlight the rewards of pursuing a career in education. Through real-life stories from local teachers, the campaign demonstrates how teachers shape the lives of young people and inspire future generations. To help bring this vision to life, we created a comprehensive toolkit for schools, developed engaging social media content, and ran targeted ads across YouTube, Snapchat and Meta. We also issued a press release to local and national media outlets.
5. Kate Humble walks Glyndŵr’s Way
Carers Trust Crossroads West Wales took home the first ever Care 24 Award at the Carmarthenshire Care Awards ceremony on Friday night. The award, which was introduced this year, aims to recognise the organisation that has gone above and beyond to enhance its skills and improve the quality of care for the community. The group has been busy providing practical and emotional support to carers, giving them crucial respite time and offering free, confidential guidance. We shared a press release to announce the good news to the local community, which has since seen coverage in Herald.Wales and the South Wales Guardian.
