The Week That Was #416

1. Bisley investment named Insider’s ‘Deal of the Month’

A few weeks ago we shared the news with media that our client Bisley had made a significant investment in Cornish furniture design brand MARK Product. The story gained good traction with media at the time and this week was named as Wales Business Insider’s Deal of the Month. In fact, it’s been a good few months for Bisley as we’ve recently announced major European export deals with Tesla and Amazon.

2. Dogs with star pawtential

Does your labrador love the limelight? Does your schnauzer have star pawtential? Does your corgi look cool on camera? We’re working with Visit Wales to cast some hot dogs in their latest ad campaign showcasing Wales as the destination for dog friendly staycations this year. We launched the campaign on Monday, with our original casting call seeing over 3,500 entries on Facebook and Instagram (so far!) and gaining coverage with Welsh national and regional titles including Wales Online, Wales 247 and It’s On Cardiff. The casting call is open until Monday, so check out Visit Wales social channels to enter your pooch.

3. Walking the Gower Peninsula with Visit Swansea Bay

Welsh explorer, Lauren Harwood, knows a thing or two about hiking the Welsh coast. With a niche of walking her way across every inch of the country, the seasoned travel influencer was the perfect person to showcase the wild moors, limestone cliffs and expansive views of the UK’s first Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Check out all the content from her trip with Visit Swansea Bay, on her Instagram @walkingwithlauren.

4. Shanghai is in sight for globe-trotting twins

Have you been following the Turner Twins’ journey from London to Shanghai? Your window just got a lot smaller, as the UK explorers have touched down in Hong Kong, kicking off the final leg of their epic, seven-month, cross-continent journey, that has seen them drive MG’s all electric Cyberster across the world. On top of our usual round-up films from each country the brothers visit, we’ve been creating captivating short-form content that jumps on trending topics. 5. Gaby Roslin finds Reasons to be Joyful about the Homeless World Cup

Over six million people around the world have tuned into Netflix to watch The Beautiful Game, a film inspired by the real-life stories of our client, the Homeless World Cup. British presenter Gaby Roslin is one of those, loving the movie so much she’s watched it three times and dedicated an entire episode of her Reasons to be Joyful podcast to it this week. Homeless World Cup co-founder Mel Young joined director Thea Sharrock and actor Sheyi Cole to chat to the former Big Breakfast host about the power of football and film.
