The Week That Was #419

1. Wales Millennium Centre’s Llais Festival lineup revealed

With festival season just around the corner, this week we worked with the Wales Millennium Centre to announce the first phase of their lineup of  Llais Festival. Cardiff’s International Arts Festival is dedicated to the instrument that we all share – the voice- and comes to Cardiff Bay this October with special performances Cate Le Bon, Joan As Police Woman and Sweet Honey In The Rock. LLAIS as part of Cardiff Music City Festical (27 September – 20 October 2024), a city-wide extravaganza bringing three boundary-pushing weeks of gigs, immersive happenings, residencies, installations and pop-ups to all parts of Cardiff. We’re working Wales Millennium Centre on a multichannel comms campaign – including social media, paid social and digital, OOH advertising and TV advertising. This week, we launched ads across Meta, X, Google and TikTok encouraging people to buy tickets. Experience the extraordinary by buying tickets here.

2. Be nice, say hello, share the space

Did you know that saying hello to people is not only good for you, but is also part of the Countryside Code in Wales? We partnered up Natural Resources Wales with Mind Cymru to produce a film on why it’s important to follow the simple message of ‘be nice, say hello and share the space’. We went out with the local Mid and North Powys Mind group to join them on a weekly wellbeing walk to capture the benefits of getting into the great outdoors and the importance of following the Countryside Code. Watch the film here.

3. Revving up for a PestSmart summer

With summer on our doorstep, we’re getting our gardens ready the PestSmart way! To kick off the gardening season we launched a digital ad campaign on Google and Meta featuring our favourite gardener- Radio 2’s go-to Terry Walton- to get people excited about what can be achieved with a little soil, a passion for planting, and the consideration of pets, people, and wildlife. Since launching in May, the ads have already garnered over 1,000 link clicks and 40,000 impressions on Meta and 2,700 clicks and 7.5m impressions on Google. For more advice on how to be pesticide-free this summer check out the PestSmart website and look out for our ads on social media.
