1. £1 million funding milestone

In recent weeks we’ve been celebrating some important financial milestones for the British Business Bank’s Investment Fund for Wales. This week it was the turn of BCRS, who are the fund manager for the smaller loans element of the Fund, and who this week announced to media that they had just delivered £1m of finance to help small businesses across Wales, having supported the growth of 19 SME’s from across the country in just under a year. 2. Green resolutions with Coleg Sir Gâr

As the New Year approaches, many people will be considering their priorities for 2025. Is this the year you commit to the gym, expand the business, or push for that promotion? 3. Celebrating Carmarthenshire's Carers

Carers Trust Crossroads West Wales took home the first-ever Care 24 award at the Carmarthenshire Care Awards this year and we were there to capture all the action. They were one of the many incredible winners at the ceremony, which was an opportunity to celebrate the hard work of carers and care organisations across the county. We made a film to showcase the worthy winners, which you can find on our blog.

4. Ogi Teams Up with Cardiff City FC

In a landmark partnership celebrating Cardiff City Football Club’s 125th year, Welsh full fibre telco Ogi has stepped in to give the Bluebirds a boost both on and off the pitch. By installing a state-of-the-art full fibre leased line at the club’s training centre in Hensol, Ogi is allowing the team access to real-time performance analytics during training sessions. Ogi is already a well-known name in sport, with Cardiff Rugby, Parc y Scarlets, and the home of Welsh rugby, the Principality Stadium, among its customers. As an official supplier for the 2024/25 season, Ogi’s investment in Cardiff City emphasises a shared commitment to building stronger, connected communities. 5. Unwrapping a DIY Dydd Miwsig Cymru

It’s always nice being able to finally share what you’ve been working on, and this week was no exception. As part of Dydd Miwsig Cymru (Welsh Language Music Day) on February 7 we’ve been working with friends and partners, DIY magazine, to host a night of the best of Welsh music in London. Aberystwyth trio Mellt have been booked to play alongside Wrkhouse of North Wales, with more miwsig still to come. Keep an eye on the Cymraeg socials for another wave of acts soon to be announced on X (Cymraeg) and Instagram (Cymraeg_welsh).
