1. Shoreditch sell-out shows London loves Welsh language music
From stars like Arctic Monkeys and Amy Winehouse strutting their stuff on stage to allegedly being haunted by Shakespeare’s ghost, The Old Blue Last in Shoreditch is one of London’s most storied new music venues. We took it over last Friday night for a sold-out night of Welsh language music for Dydd Miwsig Cymru, Welsh Language Music Day. Punters packed in to see Cymraeg acts Mellt, WRKHOUSE and Gillie play to celebrate the day in a show produced in collaboration with music magazine DIY. Radio 5 Live (and music aficionado) Elis James DJed and MCed the night which was part of a wider partnership with the tastemaker title. Check out features with stars of the Welsh language scene Don Leisure, Adwaith and Huw Stephens and take a dip in the scene by buying a record from any of Wales’ brilliant record labels.

2. From pro footballer to principal with Coleg y Cymoedd

To mark National Apprenticeship Week, we’ve been working with our long-time client Coleg y Cymoedd to celebrate how even the most unconventional routes can lead to success. From high school dropout to pro-footballer and now principal and CEO of the college, Jonathan Morgan’s story is a prime example of how you don’t have to take the traditional route to achieve your goals. We collaborated with Jonathan on a thought leadership feature, highlighting the benefits of apprenticeships from his personal experience for an exclusive feature in the Western Mail.
3. Doing business in Berlin
We’ve unveiled our latest TV advert for the Welsh Government’s export campaign, filmed by our team in the heart of Europe’s dynamic business hub – Berlin! The campaign, which we’ve been a part of for over seven years, celebrates the bold, ambitious businesses from Wales that are making waves worldwide. From cutting-edge biotech to advanced manufacturing, Welsh companies are proving that innovation knows no borders. Alongside a range of films showcasing case study exemplars – successful exporters from across Wales – this year we delivered a Hero TV advert that delivered a strong creative punch to encourage even more Welsh businesses to consider international markets as part of their strategy. You can watch the full film on our grid!
